Breast Cancer Awareness Keeps You Healthy

How can we raise our breast cancer awareness about what should we do in order to avoid the ravages of breast cancer?

There are many things we can do. First, we must give up using cosmetics and other such things on our skin that contain questionable ingredients. Many of the currently available lipsticks (have you ever licked your lips with lipstick on), makeups, hand creams, sun screens and hair dyes are among the culprits.

But, luckily, with breast cancer awareness you can find the safe alternative items available at your health food store. I’ve been using these for a long time and the quality is excellent!

Next, eat organically grown foods. Breast cancer awareness demands that we learn about the fact that organic foods are healthier and contribute to longevity.  Organic vegetables, fruits, grains, beans, nuts, meat and poultry are raised without the use of pesticides, fungicides or chemical fertilizers. For preventing breast cancer you couldn’t do better. New research also shows that organic food may have more nutrients than conventionally grown food.

Breast cancer awareness encourages us to find farmers and food that are free of pesticide residues. A fun and economical way to buy organic food is to look for a local farmer’s market near you. There you can buy directly from the growers who care as much about you, the consumer, as they do about their land and crops. Plus, you get to help protect the land and animals of our country from being poisoned by pesticides and other chemicals used in traditional farming. You will also be supporting family farming, since most organic farms are small to medium in size.

A breast cancer awareness diet includes vegetable sprouts such as alfalfa, sunflower, bean, mustard and cress. Other helpful foods are organically raised raw vegetables and low glycemic index fruits (high glycemic fruits have too much sugar and should be avoided for cancer prevention). Raw nuts like almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pine nuts and Brazil nuts are very healthy for you especially when soaked in water overnight. Raw vegetable juices and green foods such as barley grass juice or powder are excellent. All of these foods are rich in nutrients and will support you in excellent health.

So now you have some steps you can take to raise your breast cancer awareness and to experience vibrant health as well! While you’re at it, you might want to buy a breast cancer awareness bracelet to help remind you about staying healthy.
