THE QUESTION:

Can you please give me information on the Suddenly Slim Program?  I was told it is approved by the American Diabetic Association, yet I don't see any mention of it at their website.

THE ANSWER:

We have quite a bit of information on our web site about various diets...please see the following links:

About the American Diabetes Association diet:
http://www.diabetes-guide.org/american-diabetes-association-diet.htm

How is the low glycemic index diet which helped a diabetic control his blood glucose levels and lose over 50 pounds (he did exercise by lifting weights and walking as part of the diet):
http://www.diabetes-guide.org/diabetic-diet.htm

What is the glycemic index?
http://www.diabetes-guide.org/glycemic-index.htm

Here's a great recipe for making your own healthy diabetic meal replacement drink:
http://www.diabetes-guide.org/diabetic-meal-replacement-recipe.htm

Here are some very low glycemic index foods that are healthy for diabetics:
http://www.diabetes-guide.org/low-glycemic-index-foods.htm

Here are some scientifically proven weight loss tips for diabetics:
http://www.diabetes-guide.org/weight-loss-diabetes.htm

Here are 19 weight loss tips for diabetics:

I don't believe that the American Diabetes Association (ADA) has approved the diet you mention in your email.  As far as I can tell, it consists of a group of food supplements, vitamins and powders or liquid premeasured items with a number of herbs added.  First, it is expensive.  Then, some of the added herbs have been shown to be useless in helping with weight loss and some may be dangerous to diabetics.

In addition, fructose is added as a sweetener.  So, in general, I don't have a very good impression of this diet program.  You may want to check out the Atkins Diet at the following web site:
http://atkins.com/

The modified Atkins diet (South Beach Diet) has been proven over many years to help control diabetes, as has the low glycemic diet.  Here is more information on the glycemic index and diet:
http://www.mendosa.com

Thanks for visiting our web site and best of luck to you in your search for a healthy weight loss diet.

Exercise is very important for controlling diabetes along with diet.  Here is an overview of a "cure for diabetes type 2"

http://www.diabetes-guide.org/diabetes-cure.htm

Here's some information about diabetes and weight loss using a low carbohydrate, high protein approach.  Be sure to check with your doctor before using this diet to make sure that you do not have any problems with your kidneys.

Here are some weight loss tips that may be helpful.

Here is come information I found that helped me to realize that cleansing is also an important factor for people with diabetes.  In order to get the most out of a healthy diet and exercise program, cleansing is recommended.  And remember, always ask you health care provider before beginning anything new.

NOTE:  THIS INFORMATION IS NOT NECESSARILY RECOMMENDED BY THE PEOPLE AT DIABETES-GUIDE.ORG, BUT IS CONTRIBUTED BY A VISITOR....

Hope this helps! Grin

First of all, being diabetic, the body is already weakened as it is deprived of energy.
That's exactly why diabetics get tired or fatigued easily!
Insulin is a hormone that allows our cells to absorb glucose and turn it into energy.  In Western medicine, diabetes is a condition in which the body either does not produce sufficient, or does not properly react to insulin, which is produced in our pancreas.  With diabetes, the body either fails to properly react to its own insulin, does not make sufficient insulin, or both.  This causes glucose to accumulate in the blood.

Most of our efforts are focused on the symptoms, and are working to attack the glucose problem.  However, the greater problem is that the body is weak and not able to naturally heal itself without the energy it requires.

Dr. J.H. Tilden says that it is the low state of energy known as enervation that leads to chronic diseases. This 7 stage process know as toxemia is a chain reaction that causes the body to accumulate toxins.

A lot of these toxins are being stored in our fat cells. That's the reason why when diabetics loose weight and loose their fats, they automatically reverse diabetes.
Therefore, loosing weight not only eliminates toxins from our body, but most importantly diabetes natural cures encourage the harmonious flow of energy in the body, preventing further toxin build up.

¥    If you are trying to loose weight but failed
¥    If your diabetes is not controlled
¥    If you want to reverse diabetes

Then you ought to try a complete body detoxification to cleanse your body and allow it to work its best at naturally healing.
There are many body detoxification options (refer to the diet and cleanse page for some options). Whilst doing your research, it is important to note that detoxification must happen at the cellular level for our body to completely reset.
Besides that, some folks didn't see significant benefit of these diabetes natural cures because their body is not energized and strong enough to detoxifying completely.
Now that we have talked about detoxing. you don't want to start putting toxins back into your body!
Unfortunately, we still can't escape from the need to adapt to good diet habits.

Diabetes, Diet and Cleanses

If you are diabetic, that doesn't mean that you need to abandon your favorite foods. It is true that the best way to cure diabetes is to watch what you eat. That does not mean to count every carbohydrate gram.   You do, however, need to be level-headed about what you eat.  Now, let's think for a while about our body. What is our body's composition?  It is mostly made up of water, around 70%. Taking this into account, you can simply think on what you need to consume everyday. Your body needs mostly water.

So, why don't you supply your body with what it needs?  Give it water if you want to be healthy.  Even if you are diabetic, your body needs mostly water.  Where can you find water?  You must choose those foods that have around 70% water. Those foods are fruits and vegetables (NOTE:  SOME FRUITS ARE OK FOR DIABETICS, BUT SOME ARE VERY HIGH GLYCEMIC AND NOT GOOD CHOICES). And here we are.  This is the best diabetes diet for you.  Put fruits and vegetables into your daily meal plan, in order to beat diabetes.   What you need to do is organize your daily meals around those foods that are rich in fibers, and can lower your blood sugar level. And here you have the best diabetes diet for you.

Next, since diabetic people have vitamin deficiencies, they need more nutritional elements.

In order to even out the blood sugar levels and to keep from getting overly hungry (and then overeating), we need to eat at regular intervals.  5-6 small meals a day would be ideal.  Or 3 medium sized meals with snacks in between.   Following regularly scheduled meals, with no excess of amount of food consumed, eating foods that you know will satisfy you, but also give your body what it craves, is the best diabetes diet.  (WE RECOMMEND PROTEIN AT EVERY MEAL ALONG WITH ADEQUATE FIBER TO BUFFER CARBS)

Cleansing to Reverse Diabetes

Diabetes is a disease that we can literally eat our way into and out of. Type II diabetes is the body's response to years of high blood sugar and a high demand for insulin. Diets high in refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and bleached flour strain our pancreas, liver, kidneys and colon and set up the perfect conditions for diabetes.

Type II diabetes is a sign that our body cannot take any more sugar. It is the final warning that, unless we get healthy, our organs are going to have to give up on us. It is usually accompanied by exhaustion and obesity. If you have type II diabetes, it is time to take drastic control of your diet.

You can reverse diabetes and improve your health by undergoing a holistic cleansing program.  A holistic cleanse is a program that addresses your poor eating habits in three ways. A holistic cleanse educates you and helps you overcome your addiction to the toxic foods that made you sick in the first place by helping you establish healthier eating habits with whole foods.

By eating raw, natural foods instead of processed foods you can get the sugar and junk out of your body. This junk-food and processed food is making you sick and it has been making you sick for years. The longer you eat it the more toxic your body becomes until eventually your body can no longer defend itself from the poison coming in from refined foods everyday.

When your body reaches the breaking point, you begin showing symptoms of serious diseases like dysbiosis, irritable bowel syndrome, lupus, and, yes, diabetes. Diabetes is the direct result of refined sugars entering your blood stream too often, and in too high doses. Every time you eat something sugary, you cause your blood sugar to spike.

When your blood sugar spikes, your pancreas automatically comes to your rescue by releasing insulin to normalize your blood sugar. As your blood sugar levels come down, you start to feel an energy crash and reach for more sugar to eat. This cycle causes diabetes as the pancreas literally wears out and can no longer produce insulin.

You can reverse this process by cleansing your body. When you cleanse, you move toxins out of your body, while putting healing nutrients back in it. This can help regenerate cells and tissues and revitalize your cleansing organs. You also eliminate refined sugars and processed flour from your diet, while limiting natural sugars from fruit.

By eating natural, organically grown raw vegetables, nuts, and seeds, you can cleanse and regenerate your body. You can heal your diabetes and feel better than you ever have before.

Hi There:

You don't have to exercise to lose weight and lower your blood glucose as well.  The diet described in the link below will help you to lose as much as you want.  Be sure to check in with your doctor before trying any new diet to adjust your medication if necessary and to be sure that you do not have kidney disease.

You can just take walks for exercise if you'd like.  Walking is surprisingly good for you especially if you walk briskly.

This is the weight loss diet information:  http://www.diabetes-guide.org/diabetic-diet.htm

Here are some tips for losing weight that include exercise, but there are other things you can do as well:
